Name: Daikyo (Dyne) Sho Mikegeki
Age: 27
Alias: Ligh Fafnir
Occupation: Teacher: Magic Smith, Internal Focation, Magical History. (Non canon; Head of the Craft House, One of the Journeyman Grey Council)
Residence: The North Tower
Ability:
He's basically a Metal Manipulator. His powers stem from his iron will and steel forged nerves. He has control over Metallic alloys and pure metals, using them to create whatever it is he so thinks he needs. But it goes further then just that, with his learning he became able to manipulate metals at their 'essential' (As in, of essence) level. He can change the denisty of metals, change the magnitism, and almost like a Metal-tele-kinesis (Manipulating through his energies the metal through it's states. ) this includes manipulating it into a liquid state by changing the melting points and turning it back. (Non-canon: He knows minor healing magics, and a moderate amount of general Focations and Spells which use his innate Magickal energies. Noting quite as good as his innate Metal-Kinesis)
Personality: Like his power, he's as strong as steel and as bright as the shining metals reflection in the sun. A harsh exterior only hides the true kindness and optimism this teacher holds about everything. His students are like his children, and he teaches using a stern hand yet a caring perspective. Rarely ever nervous, though he can be quiet, he finds that being hopeful and free flowing tends to work out better then isolation and selfish bickering.
(General canonical) History:
Born into a family of metal manipulators and Technopaths he was well immersed in the world of magic all his life. He was Japanese, though born in South Korea. He lived their for half of his young life, about six years. His other six years were lived out in Okinawa Japan where they had enough space to do their business deeds and still keep themselves off the radar. It was from the time he was able to even comprehend magic that he started forging his cherished sword, Balmung, and he'd 'spiritually temper' it with all his heart and soul from then on.
By the time he was about twelve or fourteen, he went to the Mage Academy to hone and perfect his skills so he could join the family handy man business. Although that plan was short lived when he finally decided after graduation that he'd apply to teach at the school, where he had such great memories and experiences. He wanted to make sure that the kids he'd teach would have similar memories, and be able to appreciate magic for what it was, and how it affected the world. Again his sword symbolized his believe in hope and building for yourself a future through the tools you have.
(Non canonical)
Not many know this, but he was one of the 'Buster's of the Magickal raid of 2001, after the Planes hit the two towers, the magical world was almost revealed to the modern, normal folk. Him and several other groups of Magi and Supernals took it upon themselves to clean it up, causing the Great Magic Civil War. Daikyo fought on the front lines, even though they were blurry gaining the title of Ligh Fafnir, for his mercy in battle after showing prodigious power. It was after these bouts of conflict between the magically inclined that the Senior and Journeyman Grey Councils were created, and all schools of magic were united under it's diction.
Appearance:
See the equipment area for details on the sword.
Equipment:
* Balmung (Bahl-muh-nck): The sword he usually always has at his side. It's a sword that he had started to create and temper when he was young and first learning. Ever since then he 'Spiritually Tempered' it, every time he made an achievement he improved it's quality with his magical energies. Just like any other metal, he can melt it down and control it at his will. The only thing is other metal manipulators cannot. All the years of him entering his energies into the blade to mold and forge it, it can only react in such a manner to his energies (Other then general magnetism).
*Scrap Seven: Basically he carries seven golf ball sized spheres of metal which are in-tuned to his magical energies sort of like Balmung, because they were made by reusing the scraps and reforming them within and without the outer line of the blade that's so dear to him. Like Balmung, these spheres cannot be manipulated by other Metal Manipulators (But they are still affected by magnetic force like any other metal that he could use)
Weakness: His metals are strong, and can stand up to many things regular metals cannot. (Or at least any metal he's not wielding.) But if there is no metal for him to use then he is powerless, other then his physical savvy (His sword training with Balmung, is enough for any sword like object). But beyond all that, metal can be a very limited thing to use and dangerous to boot. Things like Electricity, and EMPs can really either shake him up (EMP) or hurt like hades (Electricity). Being a metal manipulator means you are a lightning rod, unless you use it excruciatingly carefully.
